Oh my gall y'all. I am so bummed if vzw has found a way to thwart this method of custom ringtones.
I went through my usual steps this morning and it failed! I received some crap message to go to vzwpix.com to view my pix or flix msg. I tried it a couple times and also received an error.
My next step is to try the method of saving the ringtone to my sd card, under my-sounds, then sending to myself. I've heard this works as well.
Fingers crossed. It'll be such a bummer if this is no more. I loved creating my own ringtones.
Good luck. Verizon always finds ways to screw things up.
Confusing, I sent the ringtone to my partner's phone and it worked fine. She then sent it to my phone with success. Too weird and random.
I'm still going to try the sd card thing, but right now, I can't find my little card reader. *lol*
Update. The sd card method worked. A bit more of a pain in the butt, but doable if one wants custom ringtones.
